This is the stage band in The Winter’s Tale a ballet by Chris Wheeldon and Joby Talbot. While it is written for dulcimer, the music required a portable chromatic instrument with a 3.3 octave range. I designed and built a new instrument with Tim Manning of Music Magic which we have called a dulcilom. The other members are Eliza Marshall, Ian Watson, Rob Farrer and Jez Wiles.
